Eddy Lee ran ImpactHack on 9 October at Monash University Clayton, with Monash Generator and the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering. 30 attendees formed 8 teams. They had 6 hours and 4 challenges in women’s and children’s health. Participants needed no clinical background, and clinicians set the problems.
Clinician administrative burden ran through most of the briefs. Time returned to patient care was the measure each team worked to, and 3 winners were named. One winning team solved the endometriosis problem.
The clinicians and institutions in the room also anchor clinical research. Asian sponsors planning trials in Australia will deal with the same network.
Which part of that network does your next study need?
